About Our Bodies
What is a flange-fit fiberglass body?
A flange-fit body is moulded with a flanged edge so each panel butts cleanly against its neighbour on the chassis. It keeps body lines tight and makes alignment, repair and panel replacement easier than one-piece layouts. All Performance Fiberglass bodies are flange-fit.
Can I buy individual panels instead of a complete body?
Yes. Every stock car, truck, junior and modified body is available as a complete body or as individual panels, so you can replace only the sections you need.
Are bodies available in colour?
Yes. All of our products are available in colour-impregnated gelcoat, in addition to standard finish. Gelcoat colour is moulded into the body, reducing prep work before paint.
What wheelbase do your stock car bodies fit?
All stock car bodies fit a 108" wheelbase, with a 49" roof height measured with sills at 4", and a 75" overall width. Rear spoilers are moulded into all decklids. See the stock car page for per-model dimensions.
What wheelbase do your truck bodies fit?
Current-season truck bodies fit 108"–115" wheelbases, with a 55" roof height at 4" sills and a 72" overall width. The 2005-season bodies also offered a 58" roof height for extended cab chassis.
Do you supply racing series?
Yes. Performance Fiberglass Products is a supplier to CASCAR, USAR, CARS, the Mid America Racing Series and the Quebec Truck Series.
Are your bodies replicas of the original production cars?
In spirit, yes. Every body is a faithful reproduction of the original production appearance — the same "finest production look" philosophy the shop is built on. Accessories, Ordering & Shipping
What are your air boxes and which cars do they fit?
Our moulded fiberglass air boxes are available for two-barrel or four-barrel intakes and are manufactured for Chevrolet, Ford or Dodge applications. See the accessories page.
Do headlight and taillight decals fit junior bodies?
No. Decal kits are available for all of our bodies except juniors. Kits exist for 2000–2002 Ford Taurus, 2000–2002 Chrysler Intrepid, 2000–2002 Grand Prix, 2000–2002 Monte Carlo and 1995–1999 Monte Carlo bodies.
How do I place an order and pay?
Call the office at (519) 641-1214 or the shop at (519) 652-6421. Orders must be paid when placed, by Visa, certified cheque or money order, and are subject to applicable taxes.
Where do orders ship from, and what is the return policy?
All orders ship F.O.B. Delaware, Ontario, Canada. Returns must be approved before shipping and carry a 15% re-stocking charge; special orders may not be returned. Full details are on the ordering terms page.
Do you offer a warranty on race bodies?
Because of the type of use these parts see, Performance Fiberglass Products makes no statement or guarantee. Once received, the purchaser assumes all risk and responsibility resulting from malfunction, damage or misuse.
